Activated Spaces Pop-Up Project

Are you interested in opening a retail storefront in downtown Dayton? If so, we want to hear from you. The Activated Spaces Pop-Up Project, a component of the Greater Dayton Downtown Plan, is currently seeking proposals from prospective pop-up retail tenants. The minimal lease length for your retail shop will be three months. Spaces will have varying lease rates, but will be leased below market value.

We are also looking for prospective retail tenants to participate in the pilot Pop-Up Project. The pilot project will accept a one month leasing option to accommodate a retail tenant for the holiday season. Pilot program participants will also receive special discounts and support from Activated Spaces as part of involvement in the pilot.

Please note all proposals will remain confidential until accepted into the program. Upon acceptance into the program, all Activated Spaces retail tenants will be featured in publications and marketing materials. By submitting your application you are not committed to leasing the storefront if accepted.

Leasing Details

• Lease terms are three to six months and long term leases are encouraged.
• Pilot project opportunity—one month lease available for the 2011 Holiday Season!
• Lease terms will be negotiated directly with the property owner. Flexibility for the retail tenant is a priority.

Timeline

• Pilot project application deadline – October 14, 2011. Other applications may be submitted at any time.
• Pilot pop-up retail tenant selected – October 31, 2011
• Pilot pop-up retail tenant moves in – Space will be move-in ready by November 1, 2011 in time for the Dayton Holiday Festival on November 25.
• Pop-up retail tenants after the pilot project will be selected and move in as available
