info for prospective tenants

Activated Spaces, an initiative to fill downtown storefronts, is excited to present the Pop-up Project. This program matches business owners and entrepreneurs who want to try out a business concept with downtown property owners who have space available for occupancy. The Activated Spaces Pop-Up Project is a component of the Greater Dayton Downtown Plan.

Lease lengths range from three to six months. The spaces have varying lease rates, but are leased below market value. Activated Spaces volunteers connect business owners with commercial property owners, help make the space move-in ready, and promote the business during such events as First Fridays, Summer In The City events, and the Dayton Holiday Festival. Selected businesses negotiate leasing terms directly with the selected property owner, but flexibility for the tenant is a priority.
