Seven of Sonya’s original water color and fluid acrylic fine art are featured on 1st Street side of Talbott Tower.
Sonya has painted for the “pleasure of applying the paint to canvas” for many years. A turn in focus now allows application, translation and experimentation of the stroke. She credits the numerous workshops over the years and the instructors who give so freely of their time, talent and direction with her continued inspiration. Conti says,
“As an artist, painter I want my work to express emotion, convey an atmosphere to the viewer within the boundaries of the canvas. Discovery of the elements; water, earth, air, temperature, color as a child would explore and experience for the first time is the intent. It is that discovery that changes the art and connects us in life as individuals. Interpret the art unconditionally; the way only you as the viewer experience it. Allow yourself to carry on an inner dialog that stimulates all of your senses providing reflection and possibilities (past present-a gift and future).”
