Activated Spaces Making Downtown More Colorful

Street Team Launches Artwork

Final phase of art project celebrates colors of Dayton

The Activated Spaces project that spurred a movement for vibrancy in the first-floor storefronts of Downtown Dayton has completed its final round of art installations. This round encourages artists to showcase the “colors of our community.” As it is the last phase, the artwork has been installed on window clings that will be more permanent. The ten clings have been placed in several locations throughout the core of downtown, featuring work by eight local artists, as well as the City of Dayton and the Miami Conservancy District.

The community is invited to join the Activated Spaces team for a guided tour of the installations on Friday, December 7. The evening will begin with a reception at American Pi at 37 S. St. Clair St. The store will welcome guests with complimentary appetizers and wine at 5:30 pm, with the tour beginning at 5:45 pm.
